An extraordinary space for creative weekends.

WHERE? The old Saint-Vincent-de-Paul hospital, just a stone’s throw from place Denfert-Rochereau. Artisans and non-profit associations have moved into the building, renamed Grands Voisin, before the renovation works begin.

WHAT? The imaginative journey starts in a former hospital lab transformed into a plant workshop, where wallpaper by Mues Design teems with insects and exotic birds, and the rooms are filled with a jungle of plants. In this botanical cabinet of curiosities, cuttings grow in test tubes and succulents take root in jars among herbaria and drawings.

WHO? Previously a plant doctor in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, “plant mum” Mama Petula now designs plant decorations. At weekends, this landscape designer and gardener wields the secateurs in her small lush-green house and terrace.

Saturday and Sunday, 2-8pm, 82 avenue Denfert-Rochereau 75014, Paris,
