In 2004, Audrey decided to travel to West Africa. It was in the northern Ghanaian town of Nyariga that the idea of Muuñ was born.
By chance during a walk, Audrey discovered the traditional Ghanaian round basket and met Tahiru, a passionate craftsman. He masters the traditional art of straw weaving, explained his work, and shared his hope that his baskets would one day be sold in Europe at fair and equitable prices. The idea took hold, and an initial private collection of straw baskets was introduced. From the outset, the models were liked for their naturalness, quality, and style.
