Born in 1974 in Tokyo, Shigeki Fujishiro is a graduate designer of the Kuwasawa Design School.

For 7 years he worked for the company IDEE as a furniture designer before founding his own company in 2005.

His creative laboratory, located in the Ikejiri Institute of Design in Tokyo is a former school converted into working offices where many designers collaborate.

This effervescent environment has helped create projects such as a bag made of nodes, stools inspired by the structures of Eiffel, and riveted lampshades.

Drawn by materials and textures, Shigeki Fujishiro favours robust and resistant materials.

The riveted lampshade exposed at Merci is fashioned from a single sheet of vulcanised fibre, commonly used for engines and ideal for lighting.
